I've asked for a discount on the dresser at least twice during my many communications with Direct Source, but that never happened. They blame their supplier for the continual delays, which may actually be the case. However, Direct Source doesn't seem to understand that when they take money for a product, they have an obligation to follow through and make things right for their customers, even if their supplier leaves them in a bind. I think it's ridiculous that I paid full price for a piece of furniture that I now have to repair and they can't even supply the parts or offer a discount. Customer service at Direct Source is a joke. Never again.
Fantastic service and staff! The entire staff was very kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The man who did the delivery and assembly was great as well! I'm so glad I bought my bedroom loft here-it's amazing quality and will last me ages. Also the price was incredible as well. Thank you guys!
The trouble is that they don't offer official delivery (their warehouse guy does as a side job not directly managed by the business) so I had to rent a truck to get my furniture. After 3+ weeks I was told my furniture would arrive on either Friday or Saturday. I called midway through Saturday ahd then was told it would arrive Monday. The furniture did arrive Monday (I had to call them, they didn't call me to tell me it arrived) and I arranged to get off work early to rent a truck and get the furniture before 6. I did that, but then was told the warehouse was closed (even though it is connected to the showroom.) So my furniture arrived and I couldn't even pick it up.
Great place to visit. Great prices. They take care the merchandise is wrapped well for travel.
Buyer beware! Direct Source sells average quality furniture at reasonable prices. However, if your order arrives with a problem, don't expect that the problem will ever be resolved.
This is information they could have made abundantly more clear and honestly waiting a few extra days would be fine. But the lack of communication has really made this a very difficult process, in the future I'd spend the extra money to get my furniture elsewhere.
I ordered a bedroom set that arrived at the end of March. Two drawers on the dresser did not open and close properly. I contacted Direct Source the day after delivery and was promised a new dresser within a few weeks. Two months later, the promised replacement dresser had not arrived nor was it even on its way. The first dresser took less than three weeks. I really wanted a dresser that I could use and was tired of the delay. At that point, I asked for parts to fix the dresser myself. It took another full month to get half the replacement parts. It's now October, over six months since I first informed Direct Source of the damage. I still have not received the other half of the replacement parts that I need to fix the dresser and I don't believe that I'll ever receive parts for the repair.
The people that work here are very nice and helpful. Their communication, for lack of a better word, sucks. The whole premise of their business means you will wait a few weeks to get your furniture generally, which is why they are somewhat cheaper than other places. I knew this going into my purchase and had no issues with it.
Beautiful store. You can find just about anything you could want. Great prices and fantastic staff. Always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure there customer are happy.
